Lisa is a multi-disciplinary artist whose most recent foray into abstract painting has been with an attitude of serious play. She spent 100 days in 2021 setting the intention of integrating her meditation practice with her art making. 365+ later, she is still walking into the unknown through experiments with many types of art and materials. At this moment, the new material is Plaster of Paris.
Before this season of abstraction, she enjoyed depicting the powerful and sometimes “dancing” forms of trees through collage on large canvases.
Lisa has spent the last nine years as an artist and spiritual director, with each spilling into the other.
Lisa completed her Spiritual Direction training with Sustainable Faith in 2014. She has volunteered with the Ruah Center at the Villa de Matel, giving spiritual direction and leading silent retreats for various groups.
Lisa and her husband David have been married for over 35 years and are parents of six "grown ups", two daughters and four sons. They are especially enjoying the newest phase of life: Grandparenthood!
